Life Transition Counselling

Whether you lose a loved one, a meaningful relationship, pregnancy, pet, employment, home or way of life. Feelings of loss can also arise when children leave their primary home, family and friends separation; loss of pregnancy or infertility. The more significant the loss, the more intense the grief is likely to be experienced.

Grief can impact every area of your life, and every individual expresses grief in different manners. Grief affects your emotions, thoughts and behaviour, beliefs, physical health, and the sense of who you are as a person, it can affect how you interact and behave with others.

when you are grieving you feel intense sadness, anger, anxious, shocked, guilt, relieved, overwhelmed, lonely and isolated, irritable sometimes numb.

There is no straight line in processing grief. Grief can last for weeks, months, and in some cases, grief can stay for years, however, through the journey and process of grief, people can restore and create new habits, and adjust to a new way of life.

Grief becomes a problem when you feel completely overwhelmed and frustrated with the pain when you avoid your feelings because they are too intense. Complicated and long-term grief impact your mental and emotional wellbeing and life in general if you feeling this way it is important to seek help. Also, when grief starts disrupting your day to day way of life, interfering with your relationships, social interactions, work performance, and affecting your physical health. It is important to seek professional help to get the support you need.
