ABOUT ELSA

Relationships Are at the Heart of Human Wellbeing
Hello, I’m Elsa Anzora, founder of Healing Conversations.
My work has a particular focus on women, couples and young adults. I support women across different stages of life, including professional women and women navigating midlife and later-life transitions. This may include relationship difficulties, separation and divorce, betrayal, unhealthy or abusive relationship dynamics, the impacts of domestic and family violence, changes in identity and self-worth, grief and loss, family changes, workplace pressures, and the process of rebuilding life after significant change.
I also work with couples experiencing conflict, emotional disconnection, betrayal, and difficulties with trust and intimacy, and with young adults navigating relationships, anxiety, identity, self-worth and important life transitions.
Because healing begins with the conversation that changes everything.
I believe that many of the difficulties we experience do not exist in isolation. The ways we think, feel, communicate and respond to life’s challenges can be shaped by our relationships, attachment experiences, family history, culture, values and the ways we have learned to protect ourselves through difficult experiences.
My approach is holistic, relational and trauma-informed. I consider the whole person—mind, body, relationships, life experiences and meaning—rather than focusing only on the presenting problem.
Together, we can explore what may be happening beneath recurring patterns, strengthen emotional awareness and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others. My aim is to provide a compassionate and emotionally safe space where you can feel heard and understood while also being supported towards meaningful change.

What Informs My Practice
I believe that who we are today has been shaped by many things—our relationships, our experiences, the environments we have lived in and the ways we learned to respond to life’s challenges. Sometimes the patterns we struggle with today begin to make more sense when we become curious about where they came from and what purpose they may once have served.
My approach has always been Biopsychosocial-Spiritual, relational, integrative and trauma-informed. This means I look at the whole person—mind, body, relationships, life experiences, social and cultural influences, values, meaning and spirituality—rather than seeing a difficulty as something that exists on its own.
My practice is informed by a range of established therapeutic approaches, including attachment theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman-informed relationship work, trauma-informed practice, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), parts-informed and somatic approaches, among others. What we draw on will depend on you, what you are experiencing and what we are working towards together.
No single theory can tell the whole story of a person or a relationship. For me, therapy is also about creating the kind of conversation where we can become curious about what is happening, understand what may lie beneath recurring patterns, recognise strengths and possibilities, and make room for different choices.
Spirituality and meaning also have a place in my work when they have a place in yours. Faith and spirituality, values and questions of meaning or purpose can be explored respectfully when they are important to you—they are never assumed or imposed.
